On Sunday, August 17, PULL was hosted by Belwin Conservancy for Music in the Trees, an annual event honoring the red pine grove. Performing from elevated perches high within the trees themselves, PULL presented a 45-minute set for an audience gathered below in the surrounding brush. The performance honored the life of the red pines ahead of their planned removal, a necessary step in Belwin’s long-term ecological restoration to return the land to its native ecology. Sound traveled from canopy to forest floor, marking a moment of transition for the site and its living history.
